CT Scanning / Cone Beam
Oral Surgery Services is committed to delivering the highest quality care while embracing the full complement of medical technology available today. We are one of the few oral and maxillofacial surgery offices in New England to have a cone beam CT scanner in our office. This technology elevates our abilities to diagnose, analyze, and predict our surgical therapeutic outcomes. The net result: better communication and understanding by the patient, more precise surgery and shorter recovery.
Our in-house CT scanner provides high definition CT scans with 3-D reconstructions of your anatomy. We choose a highly specialized unit that allows for a very narrow field of view to minimize your exposure to x-rays.
We use these sophisticated images when planning dental implants, diagnosing why a root canal failed or answering the question is my tooth cracked? Impacted teeth, pathologic lesions and evaluation of traumatic injuries are also clearly visualized with this unit. The scans can also be easily shared with your referring dentist or physician.
