Brian L. Ruggiero, MD, DMD

Dr. Brian Ruggiero, a proud native of the Northeast, is thrilled to be back home after several years in the Midwest. He grew up on the north shore of Long Island before heading to Boston for his undergraduate studies at Tufts University. While there, he was a four-year varsity lacrosse player and a member of the 2010 National Championship team.

He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he discovered a strong passion for surgery and patient care. Following dental school, Dr. Ruggiero completed a comprehensive six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at the University of Michigan. During his residency, he also obtained his Medical Degree (MD), a two year certificate in general surgery, and          extensive training in anesthesia.

Dr. Ruggiero is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, signifying his commitment to the highest standards of the specialty. He is also a valued member of the staff at Rhode Island Hospital, where he enjoys teaching and managing complex cases. His practice encompasses the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, orthognathic surgery, nerve repair, trauma, and pathology. He is committed to treating every patient with professionalism, kindness, and the highest level of care.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Ruggiero cherishes time with his wife and young
daughters, and enjoys hobbies like hiking, fishing, and playing hockey.
