E. Joseph Domingo, DDS

Dr. E. Joseph Domingo was born and raised on Long Island, New York. Dr. Domingo received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from The State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Domingo was then accepted to the New York University College of Dentistry.  Dr. Domingo went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training  at Lincoln Medical Center, an affiliated hospital of the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. During his residency, he received extensive training in all facets of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Domingo was chosen as Chief Resident of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in his final year. Dr. Domingo is dually Board Certified by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

Since joining Oral Surgery Services, Dr. Domingo has been proud to be voted year after year by his peers as one of Southern New England’s Top Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  Dr. Domingo practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at both of our locations with particular interest in dental implant surgery, bone grafting procedures, maxillofacial reconstruction,  third molar surgery, dentoalveolar surgery and general anesthesia.  He works closely with each patient’s dentist or dental specialist to provide the most appropriate, cost effective, and quality oriented treatment.

Dr. Domingo is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, a member of the American Dental Association, the Rhode Island Dental Association, The Rhode Island Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The  Providence District Dental Society and past president of the Northern Rhode Island Dental Society.  Dr. Domingo is a member of the Executive Board of the Rhode Island Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and currently serves as the Anesthesia Chairman where he is responsible for inspecting every dental office in Rhode Island that administers general anesthesia to ensure that all safety measures, equipment and medications are available and that standard protocols set forth by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Rhode Island Department of Health are being followed.  In 2022, Dr Domingo was appointed by Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee to he Board of Examiners in Dentistry of the Rhode Island Department of Health and is the only Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on the board.  He donates his time and expertise to the Donated Dental Services and the Rhode Island Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic.

Dr. Domingo loves the outdoors and all New England has to offer. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons surfing, boating, fishing, golfing, snowboarding, studying jiu jitsu and coaching his sons competitive soccer teams.
